EVERY VOTE COUNTS! (Unless you vote for someone other than the two major candidates, or if we use the electoral college system, which we do).

"Every vote counts!"
Generally applied to all people.

"Your vote doesn't count!"
Applied to those who vote third party.

Why did I vote third party?
First of all, because I did not agree with the two major party candidates.
Second-of-ly, because I genuinely believe that the best way to progress in our country is to stop the pendulum effect. Each election we call for reform, and some guy stands up and says he'll do the opposite of what the last guy did. People fall for it. The problem is that (clearly!) that doesn't always work. This partisan system is not solving our problems. Liberals aren't evil for wanting to protect the environment, and conservatives aren't evil for wanting to make their own decisions with their money. We need more parties and more compromise to stop the cycle of imbalance.

Euci is getting used to our house more and more. I have recently let her out of my room to roam around freely. I was happy to find out that her favorite place is still my bed, and that she still follows me around. Twice today she came up from downstairs to find me, and stayed by me as I watched television.

While we were upstairs we got bombarded by children and animals that are still way too excited about another cat being in the house. The poor thing was surrounded by commotion. I had to explain to a 9 year old and a 3 year old that Euci was over-stimulated and needed introvert time (in simpler terms, obviously). It was then that I realized how similar we are. We are both now sitting in the peacefulness of my room. I love my cat.
